Motorcycle Season is Finally Here
It's about time.

In spite of a few hiccups, it seems that spring has finally arrived in Michigan, and so has motorcycling season! On behalf of my team and myself, I want to remind everyone to be alert and watch carefully for motorcycles on the road.

This season, I am challenging all motorcyclists to get involved in a motorcycle awareness campaign, even if it's just a matter of getting a few “Watch for Motorcycles” bumper stickers for your vehicles. There are lots of other ways you can get involved in spreading motorcycle awareness this season. From lawn signs to bumper stickers to patches, find your favorite and help all of us get noticed.

Getting Your Bike Ready for Spring
Tips for a great start.

Here are my Top 5 tips to help get your bike ready for the season.

#5: Get your insurance in order. You and your bike need proper insurance before you even think of hitting the road.

#4: Check your tires (when they're cold). Use a reliable tire gauge and follow the manufacturer's recommendations… your bike will thank you!

#3: Engine? Brakes? Battery? Check! Go over your bike from top to bottom to make sure everything is working properly.

#1: Before heading out on a long ride, practice braking, cornering, and other techniques somewhere safe.
