Let’s talk about a couple of Michigan laws pertaining to motorcycle equipment. First, handlebar height. Handlebars cannot be higher than 30 inches. The measurement is from the seat to the handgrip. So, you’d better measure those ape hangers!

Do you have to have mirrors on your motorcycle in Michigan?

Next, mirrors: A motorcycle must have one mirror positioned on the ‘driver’s side,’ which is on the rider’s left-hand side. A mirror on the operator’s helmet is an allowable substitute.
