Do I Need a Lawyer for a Motorcycle Accident Case?

Sure, it is possible to settle a motorcycle accident case by representing yourself, but it is not the best idea, especially in Michigan. 

First, Michigan’s No-Fault law is complicated and even seasoned auto accident lawyers do not know the nuances of how different motorcyclist are treated. Certain claims must be timely made with the appropriate insurance company. If they are not, you could be stuck with vast medical bills that could have been paid.

Further, an attorney will know all the benefits you are entitled to. I have explained the law to many motorcyclists after a wreck and they often tell me, “The insurance adjuster did not tell me I could get that.”

For example, is the owner of the vehicle involved responsible under the law? Does the owner of the vehicle have a separate insurance policy?
