About the Training
Successful completion of this training will result in a RiderCoach certification through the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF). MSF is a nationally recognized program that has provided the curriculum followed by all motorcycle-safety-training providers in the state of Michigan.
This training is approximately 90 hours in length. You will learn to teach the MSF’s Basic RiderCourse (BRC) and the Basic RiderCourse 2 (BRC2) using adult-learning principles. The course will begin with RiderCoach Trainer led instruction and assignments. Once the material has been covered, you’ll practice teaching in the classroom and range exercises with your fellow RiderCoach candidates. At the conclusion of the training, you will student-teach both a BRC and a BRC2.
The Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) RiderCoach certification process is also a fantastic way to improve your riding skills and abilities! Becoming a RiderCoach can be a personally rewarding experience.
To become a Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) certified RiderCoach you must:
Again, all candidates must complete the pre-course assignments, complete a Basic Rider Course Updated (BRCu) or Advance Rider Course (ARC), shadow an existed class and or assisted in a class. Both courses, candidates must attend all sessions, pass a riding skills test, pass a written exam, successfully complete pass/fail student teaching of a BRCu course and the 1 day licensing course the BRCu 2.
